And i know if i don't praise You the rocks will soon cry out

Yay for tree-huggers!

Can you believe that Greenies had a win?  Letters, petitions and donations do make a difference.  After five years of campaigning for the wild rivers of Queensland the government passed the new Wild Rivers Act 2005.  Now these life-giving rivers are finally protected and will sustain our unique wildlife and vibrant communities.

Also the Tasmanian Government jointly announced the protection of significant areas of Tasmania's old growth forests.  Parts of the Styx Valley, home to the the world's tallest hardwood trees, and the Tarkine - Australia's largest wilderness rainforest - were protected in a series of formal and informal reserves.  While i don't trust that sleazy, slimy Premier Lennon, it's a good "win" in forest protection for a decade.
